Woodbury Common
1600 - 1800 - no sign of any harriers this evening but interesting to see a steady trickle of migrants all heading west so late in the day. These included several meadow pipits and linnets, a few siskin and chaffinch, 8+ redpoll, 1 golden plover, 2 swallow and either lapland or snow bunting giving just the mournful clipped 'tew' call. I was also very pleased to get a brown fem or juv dartford warbler, the first I've seen up there in about a year. Let's hope it survives this winter! Also 2+ goldcrest, 2+ coal tit and 3+ stonechat with a fw mediterranean gull on Backhill Quarry Pool.
