Bowling green marsh

A good morning from the hide 09:35 till 11:30. The juv spoonbill dropped in around 10:00 but only stayed for 25mins. Other birds of note were 2 adult and a juv spotted redshanks, 3 golden plover, a juv curlew sandpiper,1 juv male ruff, 56 avocet, 70+ Dunlin, 2 green sandpiper,40+ lapwing, 30+ bar tailed , 12+ wigeon,7 shoveler good numbers of teal, black tailed godwits and curlew, 20+ redwing over also small groups of siskin, meadow pipits and skylarks and a few redpoll.

Popped up to the viewing platform and had 2 female blackcap, and a Jay on the path upto the viewing platform with skylarks and Siskin overhead calling and a peregrine. Around 12 had news that a short toed eagle seen over exmouth but unfortunately it didn't come are way but whilst looking picked up 10+ buzzard and 2 sparrowhawks all drifting north and a few more redpoll.
