Rillage Point to Watermouth

Early this morning: fairly quiet for migration with a cold on-shore NW wind. About 90 Linnets and 35 Goldfinches in small flocks, plus 10 Meadow Pipits, 5 Swallows, 1 Pied Wagtail and 1 calling Tree Pipit – all heading WNW along the coast and/or out to sea. Just 2 Willow Warblers, 5 Chiffchaffs & 1 Blackcap in the scrub.

Has anyone else read the entry for 31 March on Portland Bill Observatory's newsblog? http://www.portlandbirdobs.org.uk/aa_latestnews.htm Looking through the entries in Devon Bird News, it doesn't look as if this mega fall was reflected in Devon; shows how localised these things are.
