A morning Stuart Lines cruise yielded 6 Great Crested Grebes, Slavonian Grebe, 2 Little Grebes, c20 Shags, c50 Mergansers, Spotted Redshank still with Greenshanks off Powderham, c50 Golden Plover, 1 Knot, c100 Bar-tailed Godwits, Sandwich Tern on a buoy, a Buzzard heading quite low from the Warren to Exmouth and the Common Seal out on Bull Hill sandbank. There were very few Black-tailed Godwits and Dunlin, only 1 Common Gull and no Avocets to be seen.
The afternoon WeBS count between Starcross and Dawlish Warren produced the wintering Whimbrel and a Jack Snipe in the Warren saltmarsh, but nothing else of note.
