Trip around South Devon

Started off on the Plym to look for the long staying,Spotted Sandpiper,walked from Sainsburys to Blaxton Marsh and only got Common Sandpiper, but on the walk back, right near the Railway bridge where we had the Common Sandpiper we got the Spotted Sandpiper,with C Sand close by to compare it with.Then on to Averton Gifford where we had the juv Bewick Swan,Beesands next 4 redhead Smew on the Ley, 2 Black Throated Diver on the sea.Then at Slapton by small pond above the LEY 1 Egyptian Goose and 3 Black Necked Grebes on the Ley,Excellant afternoons Birding.
