Good views of the f.w. Iceland gull this morning. It was picking at the nets of a moored day trawler, "BM79", halfway along the breakwater. It then settled on a steel barge some way behind, still there
when I left, 0920. Close to the end of the breakwater was another first winter bird, a Little gull,
it spent 5 minutes feeding in company with 3 imm. Kittiwakes before flying off towards Fishcombe.
Just one Purple Sandpiper on the inside, sea quite rough with a S. easterly, waiting for a Sabines!
