Thurlestone Bay

Brisk ESE wind again bringing some good birds into the Bay.

A group of 6 Avocet flew around the bay from 11.45 and twice landed on the sea to rest- only the second record in the last 7 years.

Waders flying in off the sea and continuing up the valley 9 Bar Tailed Godwit, 10 Golden Plover, 7 Dunlin, 7 Turnstone.

Another (or same ) female Eider flew east, 3 Teal (on sea ) 38 Common Scoter east.

Thurlestone marsh has 6 Gadwall , the female Goldeneye still on the front pool .
