Scarce migrants were: 2 (possibly 3) rose-coloured starling; single ortolan bunting; single common rosefinch; 3 yellow-browed warbler; and 2-3 wryneck.
Maximum day counts of some commoner migrants were: 5 Lapland bunting; 20 snow bunting (exceptional influx); 400 wheatear (large fall- confirmed by ringing to be Greenland birds); and a large fall of warblers including 300 blackcap and 300 chiffchaff.
Lundy rarities included: upto 7 Balearic shearwater and 1-2 great-spotted woodpecker.
