Orcombe Point - 0710 - 0900 - light passage of the usual species with 5+ redpoll, 1 yellowhammer, 7 song thrush, 4 goldcrest, 1 coal tit and 3 chiffchaff the best bits.
Mudbank - 0910 - 0930 - 11 great crested grebe, 2 gadwall, 4 teal and 1 female-type scaup amongst the usual stuff.
Woodbury Common/Blackhill Quarry was the best place this morning with 13+ goldcrest, 2+ firecrest, 1 wheatear, 1 whinchat, c50+ lesser redpoll in birches beneath fort, 8+ reed bunting, 5 golden plover and at least 67+ crossbill in flocks of 33, 7, 16 and 11. Also fw mediterranean gull, 4 teal, 2 tufted duck and several meadow pipits, skylark, chaffinch and siskin.
