Bowling green marsh

Another good afternoon at bowling green marsh watched from the hide from 15:00 till 18:30. There were  2 SPOONBILL from the hide the same adult bird from yesterday having looked at the rings on the right leg i am not sure on the two bottom rings so will try and get better look tomorrow if it still around this bird flew onto the clyst but was replaced by  a juv which has no rings and spent most of its time a sleep.

There was lots of disturbance due to a sparrowhawk but still some good birds around with an adult little stint and a juv curlew sandpiper still showing well. 2 Golden plover, 3 Avocet, 3 Spotted redshank, 100+ Dunlin, 3 Green sandpiper, 40+ Bar tailed godwits, 1 juv Ruff, 16+ Greenshank, 1whimbrel, 1 Knot , 1 Wigeon , 2 Little grebes, only 30+ curlew ? and also black tailed godwits only 300+  several groups flew over but did not come into the marsh wonder where they roosted ?.
