Beer Head

07:00-09:00 with Phil Abbott this morning. Modest overhead movement of Meadow Pipits, alba wagtails, finches etc, not counted, though 10+ Skylarks, several Siskins and a Redpoll were noted. At least 5 Goldcrests in the bushes, plus a few Chiffs, a Whitethroat and a Garden Warbler, and 5+ Wheatears on the deck.

Also this Pheasant, reminding us why all bramble clumps need checking for Rose-breasted Grosbeaks, Northern Orioles and other assorted vagrants from fantasy-land...
