Widmouth Head (just east of Ilfracombe)

Clear skies and good visibility from dawn this morning - i.e. the opposite of Start Point - was reflected in bird terms with hardly any grounded night migrants (just a handful of Chiffs) but a steady passage of Meadow Pipits and Pied Wagtails all flying in from the Welsh shore into the SE headwind. Many were flying too high to see and only calls gave them away.
