Hirundines streaming west over Exmouth all day today. A walk with the dog up on the common produced many more also heading west. Won't attempt to estimate numbers. Also a marked increase in wildfowl numbers off Mudbank this morning.
Mudbank - 0830 - 290+ wigeon, 5 gadwall, 25+ pintail, 2 teal, 4 dark-bellied brent goose, 7 great crested grebe and 22 little egret. Also 1 grey plover and 1 turnstone.
Blackhill Quarry/Woodbury Common - 1215 - c100+ mallard, 6 tufted duck, 2 teal, 2 little grebe, wood sandpiper, common sandpiper, 1 snipe, 1 whinchat, 1 wheatear and 1+ crossbill.
