Exmouth

Orcombe Point - 0625 - 0945 - 316+ balearic shearwater, c 300+ manx shearwater, c150+ kittiwake, 19+ arctic skua, 7 auk sp, 1 guillemot, 22+ arctic tern, c30+ common tern, c70+ 'commic' tern, c10+ sandwich tern, 1 ringed plover, 1+ pomarine skua, 1ad little gull, 7 bonxie, 1 med gull (2w), 4 common scoter, 3 mute swan (east), 2 skua sp, 1 juv/fw yellow-legged gull. Also 10 raven and 5 grey wagtail.
All birds west unless stated otherwise. Again counting difficult and estimates probably conservative. Still some shearwater rafting and big feeding flocks of gannet. Balearic count is new Devon record but for how long?? Birds were still moving west, mostly very close in, when I left. Many more distant shearwaters were left unidentified so the true total is probably quite a bit higher.
