Berry Head

A quick seawatch 16:30-18:30 was pretty good. Behind the first trawler coming in were 63 Balearic Shearwaters! Which sat down on the sea close off the headland, while out to sea many others were heading north. I've never seen anything like this number behind a trawler before! Mike L arrived at the top of the headland and managed to spot a fs Sabine's Gull behind another trawler which was joined by 54 Balearic Shearwaters, which went into Torbay! Also seen behind arriving trawlers c30 European Storm-petrels, ad Pomarine Skua, 6+ Arctic Skuas, 3 Bonxies, 20+ 'commic' Terns, 3 Arctic Terns, Black Tern, 10+ Common Terns.
