Exminster marshes
A beautiful morning, warm and still. The wader roost in the centre of the marshes looked interesting but just out of range for my binoculars. I managed c50 curlew, a few bar-tailed and black-tailed godwits, two oystercatchers and c20 "dunlin sized" birds. However much closer was a little ringed plover. A noticeable increase in reed and sedge warblers singing. Two wheatears (both well marked females) and a few swallows completed the tally of migrants.
