The Ness and Bundle Head

Quick review first - not had too much to report from the Teign the last 4 weeks or so (only been out about 8 times), just that an Eider and a single Slavonian Grebe were offshore from Spey Point most the time I looked, and on one occasion 2 Slavonian Grebe. Black-tailed Godwit and Bar-tailed Godwit have both been present in very small numbers throughout, so too has the odd single Dunlin and the Avocet disappeared early-mid Feb (highest count was 14). That's pretty much it really apart from the obvious.

Anyhoo...The Ness and Bundle Head is where I hope to pick up some migrants this spring. I had just a single male Blackcap and lots of Chaffinch heading north yesterday and today was a bit better with 5 Chiffchaff and probably the same Blackcap singing
