Tamar Lakes

A quiet and interesting walk yesterday, Tues 28th at Tamar Lakes with hardly a soul about and much warmer than for many a day. Some open water on both lakes but still a great deal of decaying ice.

Lower Lake:

7 male Goosanders

9 female Goosanders

36 Coot

165 Mallard

254 Teal

200+ Wigeon

1 Shoveler

1 Grey Heron

1 Jay

3 Mute Swans

A marked lack of small birds

Upper Lake:

5 male Goosander and 6 females.
