Smeatharpe Aerodrome

2 very hardy (or foolish) Golden Plovers braving the -4C along with, surprisingly, at least 30 skylarks still, despite the frozen ground. Over 1000 large gulls, mainly Herring but too cold/gloomy to scope. Also hundreds of more gulls heading towards the coast to roost around 4 p.m.
