Two redhead smew on Exeter Canal with coot & gadwall on unfrozen patch just south of Topsham Lock bridge, departed towards Topsham @ 1615.
Also: on Powderham Marshes c2000 skylark carpeting the bird cover fields, 11 woodlark, 350 brambling and smaller numbers of other finches & buntings. About 2200 wigeon, 600 lapwing & 20 shoveler sitting out the snow around the lagoon.
And bittern & jack snipe on Exminster Marshes 19/12.
