Broadsands: at least 21 Cirl Buntings on the seed in the back of the 2nd car park today, also 3 Reed Buntings and 50+ Chaffinches. 1 Collybita Chiffchaff in the windswept marsh.
Please Note: its good to drop seed for the Cirls if you want almost instant good close views but please use Budgie seed or foreign finch seed (both a mixture of Millet and Canary Grass seeds from any petshop or bird food provider) - normal 'wild bird food' mixes which someone has been dropping attracts too many pigeons, crows and a rat today!
(Report from Nigel and Chris Smallbones from Berry Head of 35+ Golden Plovers several Lapwing in the meadow north of the carpark and the Lapland Bunting is still present in the Northern Fort by the Cafe.)
