Out fishing in the channel: c100 Kittiwakes, 1w Little Gull, 15 Great Skuas and 2 Balearic Shearwaters attracted to the boat (disappointedly no Poms).
Balearic Shearwaters are meant to forage near the coast, yet this is not the first time I've had birds 20 plus miles out, feeding around fishing boats. Notice this second rather pale Balearic head-lifting while searching for food, this also the makes the neck look longer.
