Seawatch first thing produced 100 Gannets, 220 Auks (60% Razorbills), 8 Common Scoter, 8 Teal and 25 Kittiwakes.
Some weather movement was evident, with a flock of 55 Lapwings leaving to the south early morning, followed a little later by 20 Golden Plover. There were a further 50 Lapwings moving east, with eight grounded, and 20 Golden Plovers moving east, with 385 grounded (in 2 flocks of 220 and 165).
A nice slection of birds were scattered around the area, the best being Merlin, 7 Turnstone, 3 Purple Sandpipers, Dunlin, 10 Snipe, 5 Mediterranean Gulls (2 ads, 2nd w, 2 1st w), Water Rail, Great Spotted Woodpecker, 11 Song Thrush, 2 Redwing, Mistle Thrush, Black Redstart, Water Pipit (Horseley Cove), 40+ Rock Pipits, 60+ Meadow Pipits, 22 Long-tailed Tits, Chiffchaff and Firecrest.
