An hour 'escaping' my daughter's eighth birthday party for some peace and quiet - shameful!
Orcombe Point - heavy rain, no wind - 1020-1120am - snipe 2, chaffinch c40+, meadow pipit c40+, skylark c50+ starling c30+, pied wagtail c20+ corn bunting 1 (mobile and elusive around top stubble field - interestingly the previous record for these fields was 17th November 2007 - almost exactly three years ago).
Mudbank - scaup 4 - flock size very slowly increasing!
