Below: Left female Cirl Bunting (about 10 today around the meadow) and right Grt Spt Woodpecker landed briefly on Coast Guards communication tower - its the only thing that looks like a tree at the end of the headland!


Some overhead movement today:among commoner birds; 4 Brambling, 1 Lesser Redpoll, 2 Yellowhammer, 3 Siskin, 3 Redwing, 1 Grt Spt Woodpecker, 3 House Sparrows 6 Bullfinch, 13 Skylarks and first of Woodpigeon movements- although only in small numbers 53 in two flocks.
Fairly Quiet around head; 1 Ring Ouzel, 3 Chiffchaff, 10 Goldcrest, 3 Blackcap, 4 Stonechat and fair numbers of Song Thrush.
