Seaton Area

Nice surprise today was a line of 4 Whinchats along a fence just N of A3052 at Bridge Marsh.

A short seawatch this afternoon produced 6 Common Scoters, 1 Razorbill, 7 auk sp. and 1 juv Common Tern. That's why it was short.

From the BHM tower hide later: 3 Dunlin, 1 Ringed Plover, 1 Curlew Sandpiper, 1 Knot, 1 Common Sandpiper, 12+ Black-tailed Godwits and 1 Bar-tailed. Among the gulls were a juv/1st-winter Common Gull (my first of that species for ages here) and 20+ Lesser Black-backed Gulls. One or two of the latter were maybe dark enough to start thinking about intermedius...

L to R: poss intermedius, obvious graellsii, GBB
