Whimbrels flying up-Channel in small groups, mostly very close to shore; a few Swallows and Sand Martins battling to make headway into the wind;
Grasshopper Warbler (reeling),
Whitethroat (3 singing),
Sedge Warbler (singing) and a female Greenland-looking Wheatear in the scrub. 110 auks, mostly Razorbills, all flying up-Channel, presumably to the small breeding colonies along the Exmoor coast.
