We've had at least three flocks on the Axe this autumn, totaling 17 birds - two of these flocks flew straight through. I know it doesn't sound like many, but taking into account the flocks seen elsewhere in the county, and seen passing Portland, this isn't a normal occurrence at all. So it does beg the question as to where they have all come from??
