Saw this at a distance - my lens doesn't have the reach of birders' scopes. In among a group of Common Gulls. Seems a bit early for breeding plumage for a Black-headed. Med or even Bonaparte's? Please don't mock my lack of expertise but I'd be grateful if anyone could say if they've had a positive ID on this in this area. Thanks. Don
EDIT Hi Don, have had a couple of BHGs on the Axe that have been very nearly in full bp - just the odd white speckle in otherwise complete hood (Gavin)
