RSPB Bowling Green Marsh

Excellent hour's birding at BGM at high tide this morning, the highlight of which was a glossy ibis that dropped in at just gone 9am, then flew off east at 9:30am.  The bird was colour ringed, poss JM10 according to one of the birders in the hide, but couldn't make it out myself.

Also, spoonbill (imm) and curlew sandpiper, plus by my counting, 39 avocet , 2 spotted redshank, 19 greenshank, 2 green sandpiper, 2 golden plover, numerous black and bar tailed godwit, curlew, redshank, lapwing and dunlin. One of the latter was still quite well marked on the belly.
