Froward Point

07.35-13.00. Some movement (all west); 35 Siskin, 60+ Goldfinch, 2 Redpoll heard only, 7 Crossbill. Also 3 Wheatear, 4 Stonechat, 5+ Blackcap, 5+ Goldcrest, 2 Chiffchaff, 1 Yellow-browed Warbler (at 09.50 for 5 minutes in Sycamores half way between the point and Froward Cove but typically mobile, though occasionally vocal) and 1 Short-eared Owl, which came out of scrub at Froward Cove and flew west into Old Mill Bay where lost to view.
