Thurlestone Bay

Sometimes the day starts off and does not produce results up to expectations-- keep going 'cause it only gets better !

3hrs of seawatching this morning was poor by comparison with other sites - I need to remember that Thurlestone bay is not a headland particularly in a SW gale -
Gannet 94 w - 6e , Manx S'water - 50 w . Balearic S 'Water- 32 W ( still a record count for me ).

Sooty S'water 1 w (10.20 ), Common Scoter 4w . Kittiwake 2w.

Went back this eve , 17.00-18.15 On S H Marsh the largest flock of Yellow Wags I have recorded 75/80. 12 Teal., 4 Ringed Plover .

On the way back a very nice Grey Phalarope feeding in the lagoon by the bridge over S M Ley., a

The juv Merlin still around both this am & eve.
