Exmouth

Orcombe point was much better than usual this morning in drizzly conditions (605-830am). 7+ chiffchaff, 6+ blackcap, 3+ wheatear, 4+willow warbler, 1+ tree pipit, 2+ meadow pipit, 5+ grasshopper warbler (the most I've ever recorded here in one morning), 1 male lesser whitethroat, 7+ whitethroat, 8+ swallow, 14 eider, 124 shag (single flock) and 1 common scoter. Got home 9'ish and a grasshopper warbler was reeling from just beyond the end of the garden in scrub bordering Warren View football pitch.
